Online Server Setup
Getting started is easy, simply use the Global datavault’s interface that works much like explorer to select the files and folders on your server you want to backup and schedule a backup time and frequency (such as every day at 1:00 a.m.).
After setup, our Online backup software for servers is fully automated. At the time you specify, your server files and folders are automatically backed up and protected.
Backup for Servers
Each time you backup your server, Global datavault’s Online backup for Servers software:
- Compresses the selected server data
- Encrypts the selected server data
- Transmits the data to our secure offsite data center
- Sends an email to you to confirm the server backup status
The first backup includes each item in the files and folders you select. During subsequent backups our server backup software detects changes to your files, then only new or modified data is transmitted. This feature makes daily server backups fast and efficient. The Global datavault server backup solution means no one has to do anything once your backup is scheduled. You will no longer need to keep track of tapes or transport records to off-site locations. Global datavault also allows you to select a maximum storage level so you can keep your bill consistent, and we’ll warn you if you get near your quota.
Restore Server Data
Restoring server data can be done with a few simple mouse clicks. Select the files and folders you want to restore and click "Restore Now".
Global datavault’s Online backup for servers gives you peace of mind, knowing that your server data can be replaced at any time, as often as necessary, with no additional costs.
We also provide a web-based restore capability which allows you to access your server data from any computer anywhere in the world.
