Global datavault Infrastructure Expansion
Wednesday, May 7, 2008
Global datavault completed today a major hardware expansion in its Dallas data center. The new equipment consists of a variety of high specification servers from Hewlett-Packard. The new capacity was required to support surging demand for the company’s new Failover service. Failover allows customers to use pre-configured servers with current data in the event that the customer’s own servers are not working for any reason.
“Failover is superior to backup because backup alone cannot get you back in business in minutes. With Failover your company can resume its normal operations much more quickly after an outage,” said Angela King, Global datavault’s Director of Sales.
