Mail Server
A mail server is a shared computer which provides services required to support email for an organization. These services include storage of messages as well as sending, receiving and forwarding messages. Many mail servers also support group calendar management, contact management, task lists and other productivity tools. Mail servers are complex and require precise configuration. They are also frequent targets of malicious attacks and therefore require careful security controls.
