How Does dataVault Work?
Setup. Using a Windows Explorer interface, select the data you want to backup and schedule a backup time and frequency (such as every night at 10 PM). It's that easy! dataVault is fully automated-after file selection and scheduling, your files are automatically backed up at the specified time.
Backup. When the time comes for your first backup, dataVault:
- Compresses your data
- Encrypts the data using 448 BIT Blowfish encryption
(100 times more secure than an ATM transaction)
- Transmits the data to an offsite data center with the
following security features: 24X7 system administration,
full systems redundancy, and cypher-locked doors.
Once the initial backup is complete, dataVault detects ongoing changes to your files, making daily backups fast and efficient. With dataVault, no one has to do anything once your backup is scheduled-no more tapes to keep track of and transport to off-site locations.
If you wish, you may cap your storage level to keep your bill static.
Restore. It's as simple as two mouse clicks. Simply select the files you want to restore and click the "Restore Now" button.
Using dataVault ensures that your data can be replaced any time, onto any computer, as often as necessary, with no additional costs.
Additionally, our web-based restore allows you
to access your data from any computer with an internet connection.

Aren't Media Backups Cheaper? It may appear that way at first glance. But do you really know how much media backups are costing your firm?
Consider these expenses:
- Employee time spent doing the backup and transporting the media off-site. With dataVault, you eliminate this expense entirely.
- Cost of media and replacement of burners or tape drives - Global Data Vault absorbs the costs of the storage equipment . . .you never have to worry about costly hardware (or software) again.
- The exorbitant cost of not being able to restore critical business data when you need it. When you experience your first data loss and are able to completely restore with dataVault, the money you save will pay for dataVault for the next decade.
Bottom Line: Your business data is too important to trust to human error and various media. And your employees' time is too valuable to waste on this task. Today there is a better, safer solution: dataVault.
