We Support Most Operating Systems and Physical and Virtual Servers

Global Data Vault Supported Platforms

Supported Platforms include any guest operating system that runs in:

  • VMware ESX(i) 4.1
  • VMware ESXi 5.x
  • WMware ESXi 6.0 or later
  • see the full list of VMware supported guest operating systems below

Any guest operating system that runs in:

  • Windows Server Hyper-V 2008 R2 SP1
  • Hyper-V 2012
  • Hyper-V 2012 R2 or later
  • Microsoft Hyper-V Server (free hypervisor) is supported

Physical servers running Windows 2008 R2 or later.

PC’s running Windows 7 or later.

Supported platforms also include Windows guests in these hypervisors:

  • Oracle VirtualBox
  • Red Hat KVM
  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV)
  • Citrix XenServer
